Our Redruth team have been spending time at the beach recently, but not for a dip and some winter sun!

A domestic oil spill from a kitchen Aga in the popular seaside village of Perranporth kept them far too busy as the spill had impacted the surface waters of a local stream. Since the stream fed into a larger watercourse that eventually discharged on Perranporth beach an urgent response was vital. Liaising with the Environmental Agency, the team were there within the hour with sandbags at the ready!

No beach towels for our team this time, but congratulations to all the crew on their speedy and effective response!
