RSK Raw’s Simon, Alex, John and Izzy joined volunteers from multiple businesses across Birmingham recently to make the annual Treecycling event another huge success!
This is the ninth year RSK Raw have taken part and, as per recent years, we were delighted to be joined by teams from RSK Asbestos and RSK Geosciences
This year, the Treecycling initiative collected 5,600 pre-loved Christmas trees – RSK Raw alone collected 120 trees – for chipping and use as biofuel for the local community. The initiative saves thousands of individual journeys to the tip, as well as making use of the redundant trees, a double win for the environmentally conscious!
Funds raised (a record breaking £127,000 this year help the Birmingham St Mary’s and John Taylor Hospices ensure that ‘individuals living with life-limiting illnesses receive the absolute best care, wherever and whenever it is needed’.
