Not content with our ‘Five Gold Rings’ charity efforts in the run up to Christmas, Simon and John from RAW’s Malvern team recently took part in Birmingham’s Treecycling 2018.

Volunteers from RAW have given up their weekend time to support this cause for the last four years, raising valuable funds for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and recycling redundant Christmas trees from homes across Birmingham and Solihull.

Over 2,600 trees were collected by teams of volunteers this year, 1,000 more than last year, for recycling into mulch and bio-mass fuel. The day’s efforts raised nearly £50,000 of funds for the Hospice’s vital work supporting those affected by terminal illness.
